Saily eSim Review
Summary
Saily is a data-only eSIM offered by the Nord Security group. Launched in 2024, it provides network coverage in over 190 countries. This eSIM excels in offering affordable pricing, a simple activation process, and added security features.
However, the company should expand its plan variety and package durations. If you are a frequent traveler or a first-time eSIM user, Saily is an excellent choice.

Saily eSIM User Interface
Saily ranks at the top among popular eSIM providers for user-friendly apps. Their app is extremely easy to operate. The UI color combination is visually appealing. Upon eSIM installation, it immediately checks and notifies you of eSIM compatibility.
When you activate the eSIM, all the package details are clearly displayed on the homepage. The layout is clean and simple. On the main screen, you’ll find four buttons: eSIMs, Credits, Help, and Profile. From the Profile section, you can manage your account and change the settings.
Overall, I’m really impressed with its clutter-free app design. Even first-time users can activate the eSIM quickly and easily.
Saily eSIM Performance
Network Coverage

- Asia & Oceania (19 countries): Australia, China, India, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and more.
- Caribbean Islands (28 countries): Bahamas, Panama, Jamaica, and more.

- North America (2 countries): United States and Canada.

For more details, please visit the destinations page on Saily’s website.
Speed & Reliability
Saily is a data-only eSIM provider. So, if it doesn’t offer reliable internet speed, there’s no point in subscribing. To evaluate its performance, I conducted a speed test during a trip to Vietnam last month.
The eSIM delivered 72.8 Mbps download and 25.6 Mbps upload speeds with a 52 ms ping. Given the location of the island and reliance on an LTE network, this performance was quite acceptable.
For comparison, I ran another speed test using speedtest.net in India. My baseline speed here is 240 Mbps with a 7 ms ping. The results for Saily were:
- Download Speed: 168 Mbps (a 30% decrease)
- Upload Speed: 37.5 Mbps (an 84% decrease)
Overall, the download speed is quite good, allowing for worry-free streaming and browsing. However, content creators and other professionals who frequently upload content might experience some limitations.
Saily Features
Virtual Location
A VPN helps users mask their original geolocation and digital identity. Sometimes, you need to browse content from other countries or access geo-restricted websites. If you don’t want to invest in a paid VPN, try “Virtual Location” instead.
This feature is available to all Saily app users. Virtual locations function like a built-in VPN service. They route your traffic through a remote server to mask your original location. This allows you to browse securely and privately.
Ad Blocker
When browsing various websites, intrusive pop-up ads can be a nuisance. Sometimes ads even prevent access to content. To provide a smoother browsing experience, the Saily app includes a built-in ad blocker. This ad blocker uses DNS filtering and also helps conserve data.
To activate it, simply navigate to the “Security” section under eSIMs and toggle the ad blocker on. When activated, the ad-blocker icon will turn green from red.
Web Protection
As an added privacy feature, the Saily app includes Web Tracker. During international travel, you might least expect a malware attack on your device. Your data could be compromised while browsing the internet.
Turn on Web Protection for complete, secure network connectivity. The process is similar to turning on the ad blocker.

How to Use Saily eSIM?
Whether planning an international vacation or attending an urgent business conference, your eSIM needs to be activated before reaching your destination. Wondering how to install and activate Saily? It’s very simple! Just follow these steps:
- Download the Saily app from the Google Play Store. Install it and open the homepage.
- You’ll find different country options. Select the region/country you plan to visit.
- Now, select the data plan for that region.
- On the payment page, enter the coupon code “KRIPESH” for an extra discount. Pay and purchase the plan.
- Upon reaching your destination, open the app and click on “Install eSIM.”
- Voila! Saily will automatically activate the eSIM and find the best connection for you.
- Now, toggle your Wi-Fi off and on, or turn Airplane mode on and off. Your eSIM is ready.
Saily eSIM Pricing
As I discussed earlier, Saily offers two types of data-only plans: Regional and Country. The price of the plan depends on the location and data limit. Saily offers one 7-day data plan, and all other four plans are for 30 days.
For better understanding, I’ve created two tables. The first shows different locations with the same data limit (let’s say 5 GB).
Region | Data Limit | Validity Period | Price |
United States | 5 GB | 30 days | $13.99 |
United Kingdom | 5 GB | 30 days | $12.99 |
India | 5 GB | 30 days | $12.99 |
Australia | 5 GB | 30 days | $10.99 |
China | 5 GB | 30 days | $13.99 |
Singapore | 5 GB | 30 days | $9.99 |
So, if you’re visiting only the UK for a few days, a 5 GB data plan priced at $12.99 is sufficient. But, for traveling to multiple countries in Europe, a regional plan is a better choice. You’ll get the same 5 GB of data for $19.49 for 30 days, with access in 36 countries (including the UK).
Data Limit | Validity Period | Price |
1 GB | 7 days | $2.99 |
3 GB | 30 days | $5.99 |
5 GB | 30 days | $6.99 |
10 GB | 30 days | $10.99 |
20 GB | 30 days | $19.99 |
Now, let’s look at the different data plans for one location (for example, Thailand). For Thailand, a 20 GB data plan will cost $19.99 for 30 days. You can get an additional 15% discount. How?
Add “KRIPESH” to the coupon code section during checkout. Or, if you purchase it through my link, the discount will be automatically applied. Now, the same 20 GB data plan will cost $16.99 for 30 days.
Saily accepts payments through credit or debit cards and PayPal. Overall, I find the Saily app truly affordable. Especially, their region-specific plans are more affordable than Maya Mobile or Nomad. However, for individual countries, you may find cheaper plans with other providers.

When it comes to customer experience, Saily is very attentive. They offer 24/7 chat support. I’ve personally tried their support, which is quick and efficient. However, you may sometimes experience delayed responses because of a high volume of queries.
Besides chat support, you can find help in their Help Center on the official website. Here, they’ve published troubleshooting guides and helpful FAQs. You can use the quick search function for urgent needs.
If you don’t find the above two options helpful, you can submit your query through their website. Here, submit your issue with your email and other essential information. Saily team will then reach out to you via email.
Saily Pros
Within a year of its launch, Saily has become a leading eSIM provider. What benefits does it offer compared to other eSIMs? Let’s explore:
1) Ease of Use
Saily mobile application is exceptionally straightforward. Activation and installation are fast, eliminating complex troubleshooting. You can manage data consumption and plan details directly within the app.
2) Affordable Plans
Saily offers highly competitive regional plans than many top-tier eSIM providers. Global plans start at $8.99, covering 113 countries. Their regional plans start at just $4.99.
3) Security Features
Unlike competitors like Maya Mobile or Nomad, only Saily provides built-in privacy features. You’ll enjoy ad blocking, web tracker prevention, and virtual location services at no extra cost. These security features are powered by Nord Security, a trusted name among millions.
4) One Sim For All Countries
Saily comes with a single eSIM installation that works across multiple countries. You don’t need to install new eSIMs for each destination – we can just set up once and use the same eSIM across the globe.
Saily Cons
Like other digital products, Saily eSIM has limitations:
1) No Unlimited Data Plan
While many eSIM providers, such as SimOptions and Ubigi, offer unlimited data, Saily does not. Therefore, users should carefully consider whether Saily’s maximum 20GB data plan is sufficient.
2) Limited Plan Duration
Saily provides data-only plans with durations of 7 or 30 days. Consequently, these plans are not ideal if you’re moving abroad for a year.
3)Data-Only eSIM
Saily’s data-only eSIMs offer internet connectivity only. Users can browse and stream without incurring roaming charges, but phone calls are not available.
Saily Alternatives
1) Maya Mobile
Maya Mobile, established in 2015, is my top-recommended eSIM. This US-based company offers data-only eSIM services in over 200 countries. Maya offers the best plan in Europe and the USA. Plans are available for 5, 10, 15, and 30 days.
Their pricing includes a 5GB, 5-day plan: $9 for the USA, $6 for Europe, and $7 for Asia. Maya Mobile is praised for its diverse plan options, unlimited data offerings, and local currency payment. However, it lacks a dedicated mobile application, requiring users to monitor data usage through their website.
2) Nomad
Nomad, launched in 2020, is another well-regarded eSIM provider. They offer data-only plans in over 170 nations. Users can activate their eSIM through the Nomad app or via QR code. Plan durations range from a minimum of 7 days to a maximum of 45 days.
Nomad is a sound choice for those seeking a wide variety of data plans and an easy-to-use mobile application. They also offer SMS plans for the US and Canada. However, their pricing is on the higher end. A 1GB, 7-day data plan is priced at $6.50 for North America, $5 for Europe, and $7 for the Asia-Pacific region.
Who Should Use Saily eSIM?
Is Saily eSIM Right for You?
Saily eSIM is recognized for its affordable plans and user-friendly app, making it ideal for first-time eSIM users. It’s also suitable for travelers seeking budget-friendly regional plans for short-duration trips.
For those requiring an all-in-one eSIM with virtual location, ad blocking, and website protection, Saily is a strong choice. As a product of Nord Security, it offers reliable service.
Why Should You Trust Me?
My career in the technology industry began in 2015. Working in affiliate marketing, reviewing SaaS products and AI tools, required me to attend international tech conferences. Additionally, my roles as a tech professional and content creator involve extensive international travel. I’ve visited Thailand and Dubai twice, explored Singapore, and spent a month in Europe.
Recently, I vacationed in Vietnam. Since switching to eSIMs for travel, I’ve been amazed at the convenience. Surprisingly, I haven’t touched a physical SIM card since. My reviews, including those of Saily and other eSIMs, are built on my own extensive testing and thorough research.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Saily is an all-in-one eSIM service provider. This eSIM is backed by Nord Security, known for NordVPN, NordLocker, and other cybersecurity tools. Saily offers regional, country-specific, and global eSIM plans.
The Saily app is user-friendly and modern, allowing users to easily manage data plans, access support, and purchase or add new mobile data. However, expanding plan variety, offering unlimited data, and including voice call features would enhance the service. Overall, it’s a beginner-friendly eSIM app.
